BESCHRIJVING
Ontdek het beste van het magische Atlasgebergte van Marokko tijdens deze driedaagse beklimming van de hoogste berg van Noord-Afrika, Mount Toubkal (4167 m). Tijdens deze trektocht kunt u genieten van panoramische uitzichten op het Atlasgebergte in Marokko. Als u besluit om te kiezen voor een minder fysiek veeleisende excursie en in de Imlilvallei te verblijven, is dit aanpasbaar.
Dag 1: Marrakech - imlil (1700m) – Toubkal Refuge (3200m)
Ophalen bij uw hotel in Marrakech. Na een transfer naar het kleine dorpje Imlil, begint u uw tocht met uw toegewijde berggids en team. We gaan langs de Mizane-vallei, passeren eerst het dorp Aremd en gaan dan naar het heiligdom van Sidi Chamarouch. U gaat dan verder naar het oosten en door de uiterwaarden over te steken, voert uw route u langs muilezelpaden en omhoog naar de hoge rotsachtige kliffen boven de vallei. Als u de rivier oversteekt, komt u uiteindelijk bij het pastorale heiligdom van Sidi Chamarouch, dat toeristen trekt en pelgrims. Vanaf hier klimt het pad gestaag verder, slingerend en zigzaggend omhoog naar de sneeuwgrens en de berghut (3206m). Hier overnacht u. Ongeveer 5 tot 6 uur wandelen.

Day 2: Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal ascension (4167m) – Imlil
Early in the morning you make your attempt on the summit of Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Your route takes you up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. The views along the way make the journey more than worthwhile. When you reach the summit you will see that the vistas across the surrounding landscape are quite breathtaking. From here there are unrestricted views in every direction, from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. You will retrace your steps when you return down the mountain and head back towards Imlil. Transfer back to Marrakech. About 9 to 10 hours walking.
